The development of youth interests and talents in sports is a strategic effort to improve the quality of human resources and enhance regional sports achievements. Volleyball, as a popular sport in the community, has great potential to be developed as a medium for youth development at the village level. This study aims to analyze strategies for developing youth interests and talents through volleyball activities in Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of youth participants, coaches, youth organization administrators, and village officials. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure data validity. The results indicate that volleyball activities are highly favored by youth and contribute to improving basic skills and motivation to engage in sports. The strategies implemented include regular training sessions, the formation of village teams, and participation in local tournaments. However, the development process has not been optimal due to limited facilities and infrastructure, the absence of structured training programs, and the lack of professional coaching assistance. This study concludes that the development of youth interests and talents through volleyball activities requires strengthening strategies in program planning, improving human resource quality, providing adequate facilities, and ensuring sustainable village policy support. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for formulating youth sports development programs at the village level.
