POTENSI PENGEMBANGAN KOPERASI DESA SEGARA KATON KECAMATAN GANGGA KABUPATEN LOMBOK UTARA

Abstract

Village Cooperative is an economic institution established to empower and improve the welfare of the community in the village. This institution is a forum for the community that can help in managing, marketing and the availability of agricultural products, business capital and others for the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for developing village cooperatives in Segara Katon Village, the potential of the economic sector that can be driven through cooperatives and the challenges it faces. The results of the study indicate that Segara Katon Village has various economic potentials, such as grocery stores, cattle farms, and tobacco production, which can be developed through cooperatives. With the existence of cooperatives, the community can manage businesses together, increase purchasing power, and improve product marketing and distribution. However, the development of cooperatives in this village faces several challenges, such as a lack of understanding of cooperatives, limited initial capital, and a lack of managerial skills. Therefore, the development of cooperatives in Segara Katon Village requires more intensive socialization, financial support, and training to improve the ability to manage cooperatives in order to provide maximum benefits to the community.
