This study aims to determine the effect of competition and work motivation on employee performance in the banking sector. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various relevant scientific journals. The results indicate that both competition and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance in banks. Healthy competition encourages achievement and productivity, while work motivation strengthens employees' internal drive to meet work targets. Therefore, both factors play an important role in enhancing effectiveness and efficiency in the banking environment.
