This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the Janggawana Village community through business administration training, investment education, and strengthening the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in supporting creative economic development. The implementation method applies a participatory approach consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation and monitoring. The preparation stage involved observation, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD) to identify community needs. The implementation stage included business classes, business administration training, investment socialization, BUMDes assistance, and creative economy development. The evaluation stage was conducted to measure changes in community knowledge and behavior.
The results indicate an improvement in community understanding of business management, financial literacy, and investment. MSME actors have begun to implement simple financial recording, separate personal and business finances, and improve product innovation and marketing strategies. Furthermore, strengthening BUMDes institutions has increased awareness of managing village-based economic potential. However, challenges remain in the consistency of implementation and limited mentoring duration.
Overall, this program contributes positively to improving community economic capacity and strengthens participatory and experiential learning-based empowerment models. Therefore, continuous assistance is required to ensure the sustainability of program impacts.
